Women on Cyber Singapore, 2023 Initiatives
Women on Cyber Singapore is a community of women who are passionate about cybersecurity. Our mission is to empower women and girls in the tech industry by providing them with the tools and resources they need to succeed.
As we move into 2023, we are excited to announce several new initiatives that will help us achieve our goals and make a meaningful difference in the lives of women and girls in Singapore and beyond.
Industry Partnerships: To better serve our community, we are actively seeking partnerships with leading companies in the tech industry. These partnerships will enable us to provide our members with access to cutting-edge technologies, training, and career opportunities. We believe that these partnerships will help us achieve our mission of creating a more inclusive and diverse tech industry.
Scholarship Program: We recognize that the cost of training and education can be a barrier for many women who are interested in pursuing a career in cybersecurity. To address this, we are launching our scholarship program in 2023. The program will provide funding for women who want to pursue training and certification in the field of cybersecurity. We believe that this will help increase the number of women who are able to enter and succeed in the tech industry.
CTFs and Hackatons: These events are designed to challenge and inspire our members to develop their skills and knowledge in cybersecurity. Through these events, participants will have the opportunity to showcase their talents, learn from other participants, and develop valuable connections in the industry.
Cybersecurity Entrepreneurship: We believe that entrepreneurship is a powerful force for change in the tech industry, and we are committed to supporting women who are interested in starting their own cybersecurity businesses. We will be providing training, mentorship, and resources to help women develop the skills and knowledge they need to succeed as entrepreneurs.
Landing a Promotion Program: We will be launching a program in 2023 focused on supporting women in moving to C-level executive roles. This program will provide training, mentorship, and networking opportunities to help women build the skills and experience they need to succeed as leaders in the tech industry.
Events and Workshops: We are committed to providing our members with opportunities to learn and grow in the field of cybersecurity. In 2023, we will be hosting a series of events and workshops focused on various topics such as threat intelligence, incident response, and cloud security. These events will provide our members with the opportunity to network with other professionals in the field, learn from industry experts, and gain valuable insights that will help them advance their careers.
Diversity and Inclusion: At Women on Cyber Singapore, we are committed to fostering a diverse and inclusive community. In 2023, we will be launching several initiatives aimed at increasing diversity in the tech industry.
